Furniture Sharehouse provides free basic home furniture to individuals and families, including those moving out of homeless shelters into permanent housing; battered women and children escaping domestic violence; working families struggling to stay above the poverty line; young adults aging out of foster care; victims of fires or other natural disasters.

We have collected and re-distributed over 10,431 items of furniture worth more than $748,000 at thrift shop value -- furniture that would otherwise have been discarded into the waste stream -- it's recycling with a difference!
Clients must be referred to Furniture Sharehouse by a member social service agency and reside in Westchester County.
