Guidelines for Donating Furniture
Your furniture should be in good repair.
- Upholstered items should be free of any rips, stains, or excessive fading.
- Wood items should not have excessive watermarks/discoloration, chipped edges, missing hardware/parts etc.
- Items should be clean, and should not smell of mildew, mold or pets.
- Items should be pest-free.
Items we CAN accept:
- Sofas (no sleeper sofas and no sofas over 80" long)
- Armchairs
- Metal bed frames (no king-sized)
- Mattresses, box springs (NO STAINS, NO KINGS, GOOD CONDITION ONLY)
- Kitchen / Dining Room Tables (legs MUST be removable, no glass-tops, no larger than 5' with leaves out)
- Kitchen / Dining room Chairs
- Dressers
- Occasional tables
- Bookshelves
- Desks (no over-sized or office desks)
- Lamps
- Small electric appliances (in working order)
- Mirrors
- Clean, vacuumed area rugs (no larger than 10' x 12')
- Artwork
- Televisions - no longer than 27" and no more than 5 years old
Items we do NOT accept:
- Cribs, car seats, strollers or other baby equipment
- Household items such as dishes, linens, bric-a-brac
- Sleeper sofas
- King-sized bedding
- Wicker Furniture
- Platform beds
- Waterbeds
- Hospital or electric beds
- Entertainment units/armoires over 5' tall
- Glass-topped dining room tables
- Items that are oversized or excessively heavy
- Large appliances
- Office furniture
- Outdoor furniture
- Pianos
- Exercise equipment
- Air conditioners
- Light fixtures that require installation
